Assistant Professor GDC: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
Selection Process
- Preliminary (Screening) Exam
- Mains (Descriptive) Exam
- Interview
Final selection and merit list are prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Mains exam and Interview.
Prelims Exam Pattern
- Objective type (MCQ) paper covering General Studies and the concerned subject.
- Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
- Each correct answer carries 1.25 marks, with 0.33 negative marking for a wrong answer.
- Only candidates who qualify the Prelims screening exam are called for the Mains exam.
Mains Exam Pattern
- Descriptive type paper testing in-depth knowledge of the concerned subject.
- Carries significant weight in the final merit list.
