General Exam Scheme
- Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes (150 minutes)
- Question Type: Objective type MCQs with 4 options
- Total Questions/Marks: 150 Questions, 150 Marks (1 mark each)
- Negative Marking: No negative marking
- Medium of Exam: Bilingual – Hindi and English (except language-specific papers)
Normalization of Marks
If the exam is held in a single shift, candidates’ raw marks will be used directly. If a large number of applicants require multiple shifts, a normalization process will be applied as per Government Order No. 6/2024/148/General/47/Ka-4-2024 and Commission guidelines dated 26-02-2026, and only the normalized score will count for eligibility.

Exam Day Rules
- Candidates must use only a black ball point pen on the OMR sheet — pencils, gel pens, fountain pens, sketch pens and whitener are not allowed.
- Scraping, scratching or applying whitener/eraser/blade on the OMR sheet will get that sheet excluded from evaluation.
- Divyangjan candidates using a scribe must arrange their own scribe and complete registration at the Commission office one week before the exam; they get an extra 20 minutes per hour (50 extra minutes total for the 2.5-hour paper).
- Reserved category candidates who are not permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh will not get reservation or fee concession benefits and will be treated under the General Category.
