Act Apprentice: Salary Details
- During Training: Monthly stipend as per Railway Board rules. No hostel facility is provided.
- After Training: Candidates who get the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) get up to 20% preference in direct recruitment to Level-1 posts (Pay Scale ₹18,000 – ₹56,900).

RRC ECoR Act Apprentice 2026: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
No Written Exam or Interview
East Coast Railway will not hold any written test, computer-based exam or interview for this recruitment.
How the Merit List is Prepared
- Merit list is made only from marks scored in Matriculation (Class 10th).
- Percentage is worked out using total marks of all subjects on the marksheet, including optional and additional subjects.
- The “best of five” subject method is not used.
- Candidates with CGPA must convert it into an equivalent percentage while registering.
Tie-Breaking Rule
- If two candidates score equal marks, the older candidate is ranked higher.
- If their date of birth also matches, the one who passed matriculation in an earlier year is ranked higher.
Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification at East Coast Railway Headquarters, Bhubaneswar, with original certificates, category certificate, age proof and Medical Fitness Certificate.
