Merit List Preparation
- The merit list is prepared using the aggregate percentage obtained across all years/semesters of the qualifying degree or diploma.
Tie-Breaking Rule
- If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate is given preference.
- If the birth date is also the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier is preferred.
Selection Preferences
- First Preference: “Land loser” candidates who lost land for the Konkan Railway Project.
- Second Preference: Candidates from KRCL jurisdiction districts – Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, North Goa, South Goa, Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada.
Training Duration
The apprenticeship training is for a period of one year. Successful completion of training does not guarantee employment in KRCL.
