NEET PG 2026: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern
- Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT), conducted in a single shift.
- Total Questions: 180 MCQs, divided into 5 time-bound sections (Group A to E) with 36 questions in each.
- Total Marks: 720 Marks (each correct answer carries 4 marks).
- Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for every wrong answer. No marks are cut for questions left unattempted.
- Exam Duration: 3 Hours 30 Minutes, with a fixed time limit for each section – candidates cannot move back to a section once its time is over.
- Syllabus: Covers Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical subjects taught in the MBBS course.

- Candidates first need to clear the NEET PG 2026 computer-based exam.
- A merit list / rank is prepared based on marks scored in the exam.
