Eligibility Details
- Candidates must have a Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Candidates who are in the final year/final semester of their graduation can also apply provisionally.
- Final year candidates must submit proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 30 September 2026 if called for the interview.
- Candidates holding professional qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Cost Accountant are also eligible to apply.
Salary Details
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹48,480/- per month
- Pay Scale: ₹48,480 – ₹85,920 (JMG Scale-I)
- Approx. Annual CTC: ₹21.97 Lakhs (Mumbai)
- Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund (PF), Contributory Pension Fund (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), Medical Facility, and Lease Rental Facility.

Selection Process
The selection process for SBI Probationary Officer (PO) Recruitment 2026 consists of three phases:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
- Online Objective Test
- Qualifying in nature
- Candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination based on performance.
Phase-II: Main Examination
- Objective Test (200 Marks)
- Descriptive Test (30 Marks)
- Candidates qualifying the Main Exam are called for Phase-III.
Phase-III
- Psychometric Test
- Group Exercise (20 Marks)
- Personal Interview (30 Marks)
Final Selection
- Preliminary Exam marks are not considered in the final merit list.
- Final Merit is prepared based on:
- Main Examination: 75% Weightage
- Group Exercise & Interview: 25% Weightage
