Eligibility Details
- Educational Qualification: Passed Matriculation/10th class or equivalent with minimum pass marks from a recognized board
- Musical Proficiency: Candidates should have proficiency in music (tempo, pitch, singing) and should be able to play at least one instrument from List A (such as Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, etc.) or List B (such as Keyboard, Guitar, Drums, etc.)
- Marital Status: Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates can apply
- Musical Experience Certificate: Candidates must hold one of the following – Grade 5 or above certificate from a recognized institute (like TCL or RSM); a Diploma in Hindustani/Carnatic classical music; or a certificate of participation/awards for candidates playing blowing instruments with staff notation

Agniveervayu (Musician) Intake 01/2027: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
Selection for Agniveervayu (Musician) is done in the following stages, held one after another at the recruitment rally venue:
- Verification of Eligibility – checking of original documents at the rally venue
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – includes PFT-I (1.6 Km run) and PFT-II (push-ups, sit-ups, squats)
- English Written Test – objective type test on OMR sheet
- Music Proficiency Test (MPT) – candidates who clear the written test are tested on playing musical instruments, individually or in a group
- Medical Examination – conducted for candidates who clear the MPT, includes various baseline health checks
