ITI Trade Apprentice Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
There is no written competitive exam for this recruitment. Selection for ITI Trade Apprentice is entirely merit-based and follows these steps:
Merit List Preparation
- Candidates are shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their ITI course
- Tie-Breaking Rule 1: If ITI marks are equal, the candidate with a higher percentage in 10th/8th standard is placed higher
- Tie-Breaking Rule 2: If 10th/8th marks are also equal, the older candidate (born earlier) is given preference
Document Verification (DV)
Shortlisted candidates must appear for mandatory document verification along with their original certificates and a signed printout of the online application form.
Medical Examination & Final Engagement
Candidates who clear document verification must qualify a standard medical examination prescribed by the Competent Authority. The final step is executing a Contract of Apprenticeship.
