Eligibility Details
Candidates must possess ONE of the following minimum educational qualifications:
- Minimum 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or equivalent) AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
- Minimum 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or equivalent) AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per NCTE norms, 2002
- Minimum 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or equivalent) AND a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
- Minimum 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or equivalent) AND a 2-year Diploma in Special Education
- Graduation AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)
- Must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the appropriate Government, as per NCTE guidelines

- Environmental Studies: Understanding of environment, EVS pedagogy, classroom activities, ecosystem, and conservation.
- Child Development & Pedagogy: Concepts of child development, inclusive education, and teaching-learning methods.
- General Mental Ability: Reasoning, analogies, classification, series, coding-decoding, and blood relations.
- Computer Education: Computer basics, operating systems, MS Office, internet, email, and multimedia.

Selection Stages
- Stage 1: Written Examination (100 marks, objective type, 2 hours)
- Stage 2: Result Declaration based on written exam performance
- Stage 3: Document Verification
- Stage 4: Medical Examination for PwD candidates by the District Medical Board
- Stage 5: Final Selection based on merit list. Selection list is valid for 6 months and waiting list for 9 months from the date of issuance.
