RIMCEE Class 8th Admission 2027: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
Stage-I: Written Examination
Written exam is bilingual (English and Hindi), except the English subject paper itself. There is no negative marking. Candidates need to score at least 50% marks in each individual subject to qualify.

Stage-II: Viva Voce
- Only candidates who qualify the written exam are called for Viva Voce.
- Maximum marks: 50, and candidates must score at least 50% to qualify.
- Viva Voce tests intelligence, personality and communication skills, and is conducted by the concerned State Government Selection Board.
Stage-III: Medical Examination
Candidates who clear the written exam and viva voce undergo a medical examination at a nearby Military/Air Force/Navy Hospital. Only medically fit candidates are considered for final selection, subject to merit and available seats.

The syllabus is aligned with Class VI and VII CBSE/NCERT learning standards, covering the following broad areas:
- Mathematics: Arithmetic, algebra basics, geometry, mensuration, fractions, ratio-proportion, percentage, simple/compound interest, HCF-LCM, and related topics.
- English: Comprehension passage, grammar (nouns, pronouns, verbs, tenses, articles), vocabulary, synonyms-antonyms, letter writing, composition and picture writing.
- General Knowledge: Current affairs, science in daily life, Indian states and culture, national symbols, defence awareness, environment and general science topics.
