- Option 1
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University.
- Must be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
- No prior work experience required.
- Option 2
- Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized Institute/Board/Council.
- Must be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.
- Two years’ work experience in a hospital with a minimum of 50 beds, gained only after completing the course, declaration of result and Nursing Council registration.

Selection for the post of Nursing Officer under NORCET 11 will be done through two stages of Online Computer Based Test (CBT).
