All posts carry pay under Level 4 of the Pay Matrix, with a starting basic pay of Rs. 25,500/- per month, plus other allowances like DA and HRA as applicable.

Assistant, JPA, UDC & Stenographer Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
Selection is done in two stages: a written test followed by a skill test. Final merit is decided only on written test marks, among candidates who clear the skill test.
Step 1: Written Test
- Objective type test held at 38 centres across India
- Duration: 150 minutes
- Each question carries 1 mark; 0.25 mark deducted for every wrong answer
- Qualifying marks: 50% for UR candidates, 40% for reserved category candidates, in each part

Step 2: Skill Test
- Candidates are shortlisted for skill test in 1:5 ratio, based on written test marks
- Assistant / UDC candidates take a Computer Literacy Test (CLT)
- JPA / Stenographer candidates take both a Computer Literacy Test (CLT) and a Stenography Test
- Qualifying marks: 60% for UR candidates, 50% for reserved category candidates
Final Selection
Final merit list is prepared only from written test marks, considering candidates who have qualified in the skill test.
