A relevant Master’s degree with Hindi and English at degree level is also accepted. Candidates also need a recognized Hindi-English translation diploma/certificate or 2 years of translation experience. |

SSC CHT 2025: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
Selection Stages
- Paper-I: Computer Based Examination.
- Paper-II: Descriptive Translation and Essay paper.
- CRPF SI post: PST followed by DV, DME and RME for qualifying candidates.
- Option-cum-Preference: Paper-II candidates must submit post and department choices.
- Final Allocation: SSC will allot posts on merit-cum-preference and applicable eligibility conditions.

Paper-I had objective multiple-choice questions. SSC applied a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Option-cum-Preference Rules
- Only candidates who appeared in Paper-II can submit the preference form.
- Preferences may be revised only during the active period. The last submitted choice will be treated as final.
- Candidates must press the Submit button after filling their choices.
- A candidate who misses the deadline will not be considered for FRTA or final selection.
- PwBD candidates should select only posts identified as suitable for their disability.

The Option-cum-Preference Form will remain available until 11/09/2026 at 11:00 PM. Candidates should submit their final post and department choices before this time. SSC has stated that no further chance will be given after the deadline.
Who can fill the SSC CHT 2025 Option-cum-Preference Form?
Candidates who appeared in Paper-II of the examination can fill the form through their SSC Candidate Login. The facility is available under the My Application tab. Other candidates are not covered by the current preference notice.
