Indian Army 68th SSC Technical Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for the Indian Army 68th SSC (Technical) Recruitment 2026 is based on academic performance, SSB Interview, and medical fitness. There is no written examination for this recruitment.
Stage 1: Application Shortlisting
- Candidates are shortlisted based on their Engineering Degree marks.
- The Army prepares a stream-wise shortlist according to the number of vacancies.
- Final-year engineering students are also eligible, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Stage 2: SSB Interview
Shortlisted candidates are called for the 5-day Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview at one of the following centers:
- Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh)
- Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh)
- Bengaluru (Karnataka)
- Jalandhar (Punjab)
The SSB Interview consists of two stages:
- Stage I: Screening Test. Candidates who do not qualify are sent back on the same day.
- Stage II: Candidates who qualify Stage I undergo psychological tests, group tasks, and a personal interview over the remaining days.
Stage 3: Medical Examination
Candidates recommended by the SSB must undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the required medical standards of the Indian Army.
Stage 4: Final Merit List
- The final merit list is prepared based on SSB Interview performance.
- Medical fitness is mandatory for final selection.
- Selected candidates receive joining instructions for training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).
