Eligibility Details

  • Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University/Institution
  • Computer Qualification: Diploma/Certificate of at least six months’ course in Computer Application from a recognised institution
  • Character must be suitable for appointment to High Court service; candidates dismissed by Government or convicted of serious offences are not eligible

Ex-Cadre Assistant: Salary Details

Level-4 (Rs. 25,500/- to Rs. 81,100/-) of the pay matrix under the 7th Pay Revision Committee (PRC), plus usual allowances. Appointment is initially on probation for one year.

Selection Stages

  • Preliminary/Screening Test (only if applicants are very high in number) — qualifying, marks not counted in final merit
  • Written Test — marks counted for final merit
  • Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) — qualifying in nature
  • Interview — marks counted for final merit

  • Appearing in the Interview is mandatory; candidates who don’t appear will not be included in the merit list

Final Merit List

  • Prepared on the basis of total marks scored in the Written Test and Interview
  • In case of a tie, the candidate with higher Written Test marks ranks higher; if still tied, the older candidate ranks higher
  • The select panel remains valid for one year from the date of approval (extendable by one year if required)
