SBC Group ‘C’ Posts 2026: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
Computer Based Test (CBT)
Candidates will be selected through an online Computer Based Test of 120 minutes duration.
- The exam is bilingual (Hindi/English), except the General English section.
- CBT scores will be normalised if the exam is held in multiple shifts.
- Minimum qualifying marks: UR – 35%, OBC – 30%, SC/ST/PwBD/EWS – 25%.

Endurance & Skill Test
- CA’A’ & CH: Final merit list is prepared directly from CBT marks, no further test.
- FED (OG): CBT qualifiers are shortlisted in a 1:15 ratio for a qualifying PET, followed by a Skill Test.
- CMTD (OG): CBT qualifiers are shortlisted in a 1:15 ratio directly for the Skill Test.
Tie-Breaking Rule
- The candidate with the older date of birth is ranked higher.
- If the date of birth is also the same, alphabetical order of the first name is used.
Final Selection
- The provisional merit list is prepared strictly on CBT marks.
- Final appointment is subject to qualifying the PET/Skill Test (where applicable), document verification and a medical examination.
- Document verification and the Endurance/Skill tests will be conducted in Visakhapatnam only.
