PGCLI Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern
There is no written exam, test or interview in this apprenticeship engagement. Selection is entirely merit-based and happens in two stages:
Stage 1: Screening & Shortlisting
- Online applications are sorted in order of merit, based on marks obtained in the candidate’s ITI, Diploma or Degree qualification for the trade applied for.
- Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification in a ratio of 1:5 against the number of notified training slots.
- Document verification details are sent only to the candidate’s registered email address. No TA/DA is paid for attending document verification.
Stage 2: Final Selection & Engagement
- A final merit list is prepared from candidates who report for document verification and are found eligible on all counts.
- Candidates are engaged as apprentices strictly in order of merit, after completing:
- Accepting the tri-partite apprenticeship contract on the NATS/NAPS portal.
- Submitting a medical fitness certificate as per the Apprentice Act, 1961.
- Submitting a cleared police verification report.
